He graduated with honours from Guys Medical School in 1992 and has trained at various London Teaching Hospitals including Guys & St. Thomas', St Mary's and the Chelsea & Westminster before taking up a consultant position.

His primary research was in the pathology of cutaneous inflammation and consequently his specialist area of interest is inflammatory skin disorders such as acne, eczema and psoriasis although he does see to all aspects of general dermatology.
