Initial Consultation

The initial consultation is an important part of the diagnostic process. All of the London Dermatology Centre’s Consultant Dermatologists require that you come in for this 20 – 30 minute appointment. This gives them the opportunity to examine your skin, formulate a diagnosis and provide you with a personalised and effective treatment regime. If they feel it is necessary they may ask you to have some testing carried out to help in identifying your condition. If the condition requires testing the dermatologist will usually prescribe some medication to help while they await the results. This should provide some immediate relief, especially from allergic reactions. Once the test results come through the dermatologist will be able to tailor the treatment regime accordingly.

Follow Up Consultation

The follow up consultation is not necessary for all patients but many conditions do require ongoing treatment. These conditions include acne, eczema, psoriasis etc. Some medications, for example, Roaccutane require monitoring as there can be side effects. The dermatologist will be able to tell you if you need to come back to the clinic.

Aesthetic Consultation

The London Dermatology Centre is delighted to offer free aesthetic consultations with our aesthetic practitioners. The appointments are usually 30 minutes in length and provide the practitioner with the opportunity to examine your skin thoroughly and discuss your wishes and aspirations. Once they know how you would like to look they can give you a completely personalised regime to help achieve this.
