IPL & YAG Thread Vein Treatment

Don't hide your face and legs! Show them off

What is IPL & YAG light therapy treatment?

The ranges of IPL treatments are performed using the appropriate range of filters and treatment protocols to treat your skin. A different laser treatment head called YAG delivers a different energy using a smaller treatment head to apply to broken veins with accuracy.

The YAG head targets the vein and delivers a precise energy level into the vein that is absorbed by the blood stream. The heat that the light source generates heats the vessel and destroys the walls and the filling ability of the vein. After a period of time the vein is broken down and absorbed into the blood stream.
The treated area will sometimes change colour temporarily and bruising may occur as the treatment is vascular and the vessel is being broken down.

Thread Veins: Can be unsightly and make you feel conscious of your legs. YAG laser treatments can eliminate thread veins so you can expose your legs with confidence.

Rosacea: Broken veins or capillaries on the skin surface or just below can cause embarrassment and require camouflage makeup. Our range of treatments can be used to break down the vessel walls and reduce the visible effect of the blemishes on the skin surface. The IPL treatment can be used on all areas of the body where broken vein, thread veins and capillary redness are visible and problematic.

Age Spots & Melasma: Brown age spots or discoloured skin pigmentation can be reduced to reveal a younger more even skin tone to improve your visual image and confidence.

Does it hurt?

As the controlled intense pulsed light passes in to the skin the most regular description is on of feeling a very slight ping like a hot elastic band on the skin surface. The patch test will help you understand the treatment and feel your own sensation. Most people do not report it to be so uncomfortable/
